This is the third house in which I've used this product. It's easy to install and easy to keep clean. I don't know what I'd do without it. The reason I didn't give it five stars is because it can shift out of place if you catch the edge with something. I couldn't put anything in without contantly have to pick them up when the fell over. This shelf covering solved the problem perfectly. It was easy to install, the tabs hold it in place and everything now stands up straight. I put it in the bedroom closet and now the bottom sweater on the pile doesn't end up with grid marks. Containers don't wobble like they used to anymore.My past experience is with ELFA shelving, who also offers plastic sheets for their wire shelving to compensate for the uneven wire surface. ELFA's product is much more expensive, but is flat and hidden when installed. It works wonderfully, and looks good. The CON of this product is that it is shipped in a very, very tight roll. Because of this, the product does not lay flat on the shelf. The little tabs stick into the wire to keep it in place, but there is a bit of a wavy effect on the plastic -- I doubt it will ever lay flat, and it took TWO of us to spread it out because it kept "snapping back" and wanted to return to a tight little roll. The product is on the laundry room shelf, and stores a bunch of detergent and cleansers. It works well enough for me for that use. However, I would NOT recommend this if... Read more |
