Really easy to move around and hold all my big bins.My dad was visiting and assembled these for me with my kids "helping". His great tip is to use masking or other tape to hold the black shelf holders onto the poles. Then when you slide down the shelves, they stay put and your shelves stay level. He assembled all three of the ones I ordered in a very short time. First he assembled each pole and put the casters on. Then he layed a shelf down on it's side. Using masking tape to attach the black shelf holders on the poles then slide the poles into the shelf's pole holes. He used a rubber mallet to tighten the shelf onto each pole. After the first shelf was on the poles, he'd put the assembly upright and then attach the next shelf. First attach the black shelf holders with masking tape (so that they don't open and fall off or move before you get the shelf onto it) to all 4 poles and then slide the... Very high quality castors, with two lockable ones, extremely quick and easy assembly. The 24" depth is a major plus compared to most wire shelves, and this one is plenty reinforced - we've already filled it up and there's no sign of sagging, I think they were very conservative on the weight/load ratings.If only Amazon had actually properly packaged it, perhaps a second outer carton, with the inner one reinforced with fiber tape or nylon straps? I am disabled and have assembled without help. Start by putting first few shelves before adding top half of poles makes it much easier. Put first shelf over lower half of poles and adjust leveling feet with level across bottom shelf is much easier than trying to level after all shelves have been added. Super sturdy. Had used plastic shelving, before these, and they did not stay straight without mounting to wall. Have used these on thick carpeting and never a problem, even with a lot of weight. Amazons price with super saver free shipping can not be matched anywhere. Lowes does not even carry the wider widths. If you have weight bearing issues, as I do, be sure UPS lays box down flat for you. If I had to move box, it would be impossible. Ease of assembly is absolutely wonderful. Have some steel shelving that was horrible to assemble. |
